On the First Day of School

Filu's stomach is full of butterflies – today is his very first day at his new school! But then he meets Rocco, the meanest Doberman in the whole school, who seems to have it out for Filu from the very first minute. When Filu and Paula launch a secret detective mission, they uncover something unbelievable – and Filu faces the biggest decision of his first day: Does he reveal Rocco's greatest secret? Or is he better than that?

Synopsis

Filu has no idea what's waiting for him when he steps onto the big yellow school bus for the very first time. But right from the start, Rocco – a large, intimidating Doberman – makes one thing crystal clear: new kids are not welcome here. And in class, things don't get any better. Rocco seems to have everyone under his thumb and mocks anyone who dares to cross him. Something just doesn't add up. Why is Rocco so mean to everybody? Filu grabs his detective magnifying glass, Paula laces up her sneakers – and together with Wonder, the most secret mission of the first school day officially begins! What they discover behind the gym is the last thing either of them expected. The coolest, toughest kid in school is hiding a secret – a surprisingly tender, beautiful secret that he would do anything to protect. And now what? Should they tell everyone? Filu hesitates – because suddenly he sees Rocco in a completely different light. With a moment of real courage in front of the whole class, Filu sets something in motion that nobody could have predicted: one by one, every single kid stands up and reveals their own secret hobby – ballet, bug collecting, dolls and even mud wrestling! And Rocco? He's the last one to stand up, takes a deep breath – and tells his secret himself. What happens next leaves even Mrs. Fuzzy, the wonderfully quirky hippie teacher, completely speechless. Filu knows it now: his first day of school was the best day of his life.
